The Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team and the federal DEA arrested two Indianapolis men last week as part of an investigation into local drug dealing.

Sheriff Matt Myers said that a Bartholomew County deputy has been partnering with the federal agency, allowing the county to track drug-dealing back to its source, even in Indianapolis.

Deputies arrested 39-year-old James Cantrell and 29-year-old Johnny Flaugher on Thursday, says Judy Jackson, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.

Officers allegedly found methamphetamine and heroin when they arrested Cantrell. He is facing preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine and in heroin in Bartholomew County along with drug possession charges in Marion County.
