Two-vehicle crash sends both drivers to the hospital

A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday evening led to two people being sent to the hospital.

Judy Jackson, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, says that at approximately 5:15 p.m., Deputy Terry Holderness, responded to the crash at the intersection of County Road 550 North and River Road. Investigators say that a car driven by 52-year-old Sara Williams, of Edinburgh, was traveling east on County Road 550 North when a pickup-truck, driven by 66-year-old Nancy Catron, of Franklin, pulled into Williams’ path. Investigators say that Williams tried to avoid but the crash, but the front of her truck impacted the front of Williams’ car.

Jackson says that both drivers were taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. She adds that both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
