Columbus police say a driver nearly went into the pond at Mill Race Park over the weekend, crashing and flipping his car, leaving it hanging over the water.

22-year-old Anthony L. Oliver is facing a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle intoxicated with endangerment in the incident.

Police were called at just before 6 a.m. Sunday morning to the park for the accident. Oliver failed several field sobriety tests, police report.
