The State Street Area Association will be hosting a community Thanksgiving meal at the America and Roby Anderson Community Center on McClure Road from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
They are asking for food or monetary donations this week to help cover the event. Donations can be dropped off between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Among the items needed are:
- 14-pound or larger turkeys, either thawed or prepared
- Chicken flavored stuffing
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Green beans
- Cranberry sauce
- Pumpkin pies
- Apple pies
- Whipped topping
