Jennings County election preview

Voters in Jennings County are preparing to cast their ballots, as Election Day draws closer.

Races being contested locally include the Jennings County Treasurer. Democrat Sherri Poling Williams is facing off against Republican Kitty Shepherd. Current Treasurer Sandra Vance is not running for re-election, as she is seeking a seat on the county council.

In the race for Jennings County Surveyor, Democrat Patty Franks faces Republican Charles Ebinger.

In the race for County Commissioner, District One, Republican incumbent Bob Whilhite faces Democrat Russell Richardson and Independent candidate Bill Wright.

In District Two, Democrat Max Hill faces Republican incumbent David Lane.

For Jennings County Council, the “At-Large” seats are being contested, as Democrats Jarrod Daeger, Helen Taylor and Sandra Vance face Republican incumbents Paul Belding, Howard Malcomb and David Woodall.

In the race for Jennings County Coroner, Eugene Rudicel is running unopposed.

At the state level, incumbent Republican Randy Frye is running for reelection to the Indiana House of Representatives in District 67 against Democrat Rudy Howard, Jr.

For the U.S. House of Representatives, incumbent Republican Luke Messer faces Democrat Barry Welsh and Libertarian Rich Turvey.
