Gov. Mike Pence returned to Indiana last night after being elected the next Vice-President of the United States. He got a little closer to his hometown of Columbus on Friday, as he celebrated Veterans Day at Camp Atterbury.
Security was tight and the line to get in and see Pence was long, but that didn’t seem to affect the hundreds who turned out at the base’s outdoor museum and memorial. During the Friday afternoon ceremony, Pence remembered his father, a Korean War veteran, and expressed gratitude for all of those who have served. The Governor also recognized the families of those who serve, calling their sacrifices “great.”
