Jennings County Sheriff’s Deputies serving an arrest warrant on Monday led to the issuance of a search warrant and a total of three arrests.

Lt. Mike Mowery, department spokesman, says that at 11:15 a.m. Deputy Cody Low served an arrest warrant on Damon Clark at 1413 Magnolia Place. While at the home, Deputy Low reported seeing a pickup truck in the driveway matching the description of vehicle reported stolen from Bishop Motor sales in Vernon on Feb. 8th. Mowery says that dispatch confirmed that the pickup, as well as the license plate displayed on it, was stolen. Deputy Low reported speaking with the subjects inside the home and arrested 25-year-old Damon Clark, of North Vernon, on his outstanding warrant.

Further investigation led Deputy Low to apply for a search warrant of the home. Mowery says that the residence was secured by assisting deputies until a search warrant could be obtained. A search warrant, signed by Circuit Court Judge Webster, was obtained shortly thereafter. A search allegedly resulted in the discovery of syringes, paraphernalia, methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.

Deputies then arrested 23-year-old Jarvie Williams, III, of North Vernon, on preliminary charges of Auto Theft, Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Narcotic Drug, Possession of Syringe, Possession of Heroin and Possession of Paraphernalia. Also arrested was 24-year-old Alexandrew Mullikan, of Vernon. He is facing preliminary charges of Auto Theft, Theft, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Narcotic Drug, Possession of Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
