A Franklin man suffered injuries to his face and eyes in an ATV accident Friday.

According to reports from Indiana DNR conservation officers, 57-year-old Christopher Sawyers was driving on his property 1200 block of East King Street when a snow blade on the ATV caught on a ditch, throwing Sawyers off the vehicle and onto the blade.

He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. He was not wearing any protective gear.
