The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department says that just before 11 p.m., deputies were called to the Hilltop Motel on U.S. 31 South. A woman reportedly told dispatchers that she had been threatened with a knife by 53-year-old George Lambert, of 152 Ross Street.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with Lambert who allegedly admitted that he threatened to use the knife to kill the woman. Deputies also learned that the alleged victim had an order of protection against Lambert, who allegedly admitted that he knew he was in violation of it. Lambert was also wanted on a warrant out of Johnson County and another out of Bartholomew County.

Deputies ultimately arrested Lambert on the outstanding warrants, for violating the protective order, as well as preliminary charges of Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon and Invasion of Privacy.
