A Columbus driver was arrested last evening after crashing into a telephone pole while allegedly chasing a moped driver he was arguing with. And all of this while trick-or-treating was going on in the city.

Police were called to the scene at Indiana Avenue and Cleveland Street at about 5:45 p.m. after the driver crashed and then drove away. Police located the car described by witnesses a short time later and arrested 29-year-old Daniel S. Roberts. He was allegedly carrying prescription medications on him that he didn’t have the prescription for.

He is facing preliminary charges of reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, criminal recklessness with a vehicle and operating a vehicle without a license.
