The town of Hope recognized four former members of the community who will be remembered with plaques on the town’s new clock on the northwest side of the Town Square.

A recognition ceremony was held Sunday before the parade on the last day of Hope Heritage Days. The plaques will recognize the contributions of Buck Meek, Lowell Miller, John Baute and John Norman.

Organizers with Heritage of Hope Inc. also recognized this year’s grand marshal Mike Deckard. And they presented a special award for John and Vi Beeker, who, since the mid 1980s, have been constructing the reviewing stand early on Sunday mornings.
