Teachers chosen for Reams awards

Two local educators have been chosen for this year’s Reams Family Awards for Teaching Excellence by the Heritage Fund, Bartholomew County’s Community Foundation.

Amy Laker, scholarship manager for the organization, says that Terry Hileman at ABC-Stewart and Lindsay Paluch at White Creek Lutheran were this year’s recipients. Each receved a $4,000 dollar award.

Hileman is in his 14th year of teaching at ABC-Stewart. He teaches science to second through sixth graders. Paluch is a fourth grade teacher and serves as the school’s technology coordinator. She has been there for three years.

The award is in its 10th year and has granted more than $90,000 to area private school teachers.
